Camden Town Unlimited – Private View 07/12/2010

So we finally had our second much anticipated private view at Camden Town Unlimited right on the high street. The event featured all the work alongside previously undisplayed pieces as well as live music by Dead Red Sun and Acroama. The gallery space will be open on until the 9th of December from 11 till 4.

Lost Knowledge Printmaking Exhibition is now open!

After two days of curation and hanging up work, the show is finally open. Do come down to the London College of Communication some time next week (private view on Monday) to have a look at a retrospective of print-based work within the university.

Event Locations and Dates

Private View times are from 6pm – 9pm.

Exhibition Invitations

The exhibition private view is in less than a month, so we decided to print out some invitations to send out. The invitations are printed directly unto mesh. We decided to make a different version unto paper as well. Because we encourage creatives to get their hands dirty and go back to traditional means of printing, we thought it appropriate to include our experience at the Anti Design Festival with the design of the invitation.

Printing Workshop // The Anti- Design Festival

As part of the Anti-Design festival, recent LCC Graphic and Media Design graduates were ask to hold talks, workshops and exhibit their work at the venue (Points of Transition). I was asked to run a small screen printing stall, involving creatives in the process of getting their hands dirty in order to create.

The crowd was invited to print their own poster from the shapes and key texts exposed unto the screen. It was a great opportunity to have the workshop run as part of the London (Anti) Design Week.

Lost Knowledge – Exhibition Preparations

With only one month left before the exhibition in LCC, participants are in the studio getting their pieces ready for the show.

Lost Knowledge // Shooters Hill Campus Workshop

As part of the Summer Workshops, Helyn and I ran a workshop to the art teachers at the Woolwich Shooters Hill Campus. It was really interesting teaching others how to run printing workshops and conforming to their studio to make it all work.

LCC Power Off Live Printing Workshop

So this was the last day of our Live Screen Printing workshop together with the LCC Power Summer Shows.. After a very successful 6 week run it isn’t just sadness packing up the studio. The workshop will be running over the summer in collaboration with schools and some events (but more to come on that later) as well as the exhibition getting much closer!

well as making it a bit more homey.
